The Idea Box Kids brings fun, play-based, child-led activities into your home & home-learning environment.
Our emphasis is on creating developmentally appropriate products that will encourage your child to lead themselves wherever they need to go...while making it easy for you! Not only do we want to encourage learning through play; we hope that our Idea Boxes help play a part in making long-lasting, feel-good memories for you and your children.
Of course, we cannot say enough about the secretly educational benefits of our Idea Boxes, but that is for us grown-ups to worry about. The only thing your child needs to worry about is doing what they do best...playing!
To find out more about the educational benefits of our Idea Boxes, please take a look at our What's an Idea Box? page.
The first Idea Box was made in 2000, for use with our own children. The Idea Box Kids opened in 2011, and quickly grew to include the variety of Idea Boxes you see on our site.
Jennifer, Owner of The Idea Box Kids
Jennifer N. is an educator and photographer converted to stay-at-home mother of two spunky girls. When she’s not wrangling her two wildlings on one of their adventures, she is writing and documenting the joys of parenting and childhood one photograph at a time. After surviving two children under two, she believes she can take on the world.
Sarah is a full time chef, maid, nurse, and entertainer to the three coolest little girls, who all happen to be under the age of 5. It might not be glamorous, but it’s truly her dream job. She's also married to her best friend, Matt, who is likely the most helpful and loving husband in the world…sorry ladies. Sarah has a love for writing, photography, crafts, sarcasm, and Mexican food. In her spare time she likes to…who is she kidding? She has NO spare time. Someday she'll enjoy traveling the world with her husband, but for now they will cherish their family game nights and their weekly date nights.
Alethea is a freelance writer, blogger, art teacher and influencer. Four kids within 5 years has kept her on her toes, but she loves having a family so closely spaced. She takes pictures regularly to document daily life and children's small shop fashions.
Kristina is photographer and lifestyle blogger located in Charlotte, NC with her husband and two little girls. She runs on coffee and loves to capture life's little moments that you just want to bottle up. In her "spare time," you'll find her editing photos or folding the last two weeks of laundry!
